Dragging clips from source mon

PostThu Jul 04, 2019 4:57 am

I am not sure if this is new in 16 or something that I am only just catching up on:
When I drag a shot from the source monitor to the timeline there is a very attractive little preview picture box that then follows the cursor until you have placed the shot in the timeline - I find this a hindrance to dropping the shot accurately. Maybe just a perception thing - that I am not confident that it is going exactly where I want as I cant see the timeline under the travelling preview box.

Update:
I notice that it is only dragging from the source monitor - if I drag from a bin the clip icon stays to the right of the cursor, allowing you to see where you are placing it - there is no "preview pic" involved.
