FR: chromatic aberration fix for green/purple

PostTue Jul 09, 2019 9:05 pm

Dear dev team,

please add a third parameter group to the CA fix plugin to fix green/purple aberrations.

Reason: we are using extreme FE lenses for our work, namely the HAL250 with 4.2 back lens from entanya. the lens requires green/purple CA fix for the best output into the stitching workflow. Adobe camera raw (ACR) fixes green/purple CA nicely, but is not part of an attainable workflow in this context. It would be great to fix it right away in DR16, together with noise and basic adjustments prior to stitching.

The current parameters (blue/yellow and red/cyan) do not remove green/purple CA

Curious. The green and purple are the only types of chromatic aberration I've ever seen. I didn't even know there were other possibilities.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Can you send me a PM with a sample of that bad clip and we can take a look.

As mentioned in my PM, I wanted to follow up on this feature request.

With the combo of the Ursa 12k with the HAL250 lens, fixing the green CA has become a mission critical using this combo.

Any updates from the dev team getting this feature in?
