B6 Fusion Crash

PostWed Jul 10, 2019 8:19 pm

I had just finished rotoscoping. Set the window back to Fill from 100%. Inserted a Camera Shake node after my Merge node and before Media Out. The cursor stopped and a few moments later Resolve crashed.

Luckily I saved the project just before this. When I went back to the composite I was able to drag the camera shake node in place and everything worked.

Just got another crash. Same Project but different Fusion composition.

Create 2 element Fusion Composition in Edit
Click Fusion
Drag Planar Tracker between Media 1 and Merge Node
Select Hybrid Point
Create Polygon tracking area
Select Translation/Rotation
Track
Click Create Planar Transform
Crash

For some reason the connection keeps resetting when trying to attach the log file. So it's in my Dropbox.

B6 Crash now Resolve won't load!

PostWed Jul 10, 2019 11:26 pm

Had a crash while in Fusion.

Made a 2 part Fusion Composition in Edit
Used Delta Keyer to pull Greenscreen
Created a Polygon for a garbage matte. Zoomed in to 100% to create Polygon
Returned Window to Fit

Crash.

When I try to restart Resolve I get to the Project Manager. I load my project and the interface disappears and Resolve fails to load. I tried this with other projects and get the same problem.

Do any of the beta versions run for you?

Yes. And B4 is the last stable Beta. B5 and B6 are both unusable.

Stephen,

Thanks for the info.

Please try this as a potential workaround:
Start up Resolve, select a project you can load (including Untitled Project), and from the Workspace menu, choose Reset UI Layout. Please also check if closing the Keyframes panel in the Fusion page allows you to continue working.

Once you can confirm that the configuration is stable, you should be able to resize and customize the UI layout without issues.

Please let us know if this works.
