Viewers Blank in Fusion Tab

PostTue Jul 16, 2019 10:25 pm

I have been scouring the internet all day but can't find a solution to this.

Everything in Resolve is working great except for Fusion, for whatever reason, my viewers in the Fusion tab are just blank. I have made sure that MediaIn is set to LeftView and MediaOut is set to RightView, but nothing is showing up in the windows. I read some people were having this issue with Linux OS and it was an issue with AMD drivers communicating with OpenCl, however, I am on a Windows system with a Geforce 1060 6GB.

Any input would be appreciated!

*EDIT* If i render it to a viewer, I can see that, but obviously I'd prefer to preview my effects and sharpening in real time as opposed to guessing what paramaters to use for the effect and then rendering until I get it right.

EDIT: my solution: in the Edit tab, ensure that the clip you are working on is selected in the timeline! Then in the Fusion tab it appears in the Viewer.

Same trouble here.
I thought it was some cache problem but today Im not sure.

Maybe related with my grahic card or drivers not rendering Fusion viewer?

Some news in this weird problem.
I just change my GPU, so I upgraded to Resolve 17.
Still the Fusion page won't shows any footage, both left and right views are blank.
So this problem is not from related to my previous GPU and Resolve version.

Yesterday, I have to make a clean Windows reboot by desactivation od Windows services and after reactivating them.
I open Resolve and suddenly, the Fusion tab show the footage again... except for one clip on a very short timeline of 3 clips.

I'm not seeing anything obvious, Tyler. Seems like it should just work.

What happens if you select a different clip from the bottom row?

What specific driver are you using?
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Having the same Problem here for some weeks.

I've tried updating my GPU Driver (GTX1060) and anything mentioned from the other writers.

Does somebody know if this is a bug in Davinci itself or something the user can change.

I also can however like tylersten mentioned render to a viewer but for real workflow this workaround just isn't great having to guess all parameters and the readjusting the by a random because you have no live feedback on the viewer.

Hope this problem can be solved so. I heavily rely on fusion to work as it should.

I had a similar problem. I tried removing and reinstalling Resolve. Didn't help. I ended up wiping the HD and reinstalling Windows. That fixed it. There's probably a weird registry key.

Hey,
I faced the same issue myself. I found a workaround, though I can't be sure the issue won't resurface.
Hopefully, it helps someone dodge the whole Windows reinstallation headache.

P/s: I had to reset the default about 5-10 times for the notes. After that, I turned off Davinci and then back on again, and the image appeared normal.
