Ha! Disabling the virtual graphics adapter did the trick!!! And it will also do for @Julien, because he has almost the identical computer config like me. Thanks guys - I will no try DR for the first time :-)

If you open Device Manager, I think you should see the virtual graphics adapter under Display Adapters.

If you do see it there, right click it and select Disable Device.

If that doesn't help, send an updated Resolve log and NFO file with the virtual graphics adapter disabled.

Yes - everything is working perfectly now. And I really like DR a lot. Just cancelled my Adobe subscription and moved to DR + Affinity

Saving me a lot of money per month and I think that the workflow has become way simpler as well.

Same here with 17.4.1

17.4.0 worked perfectly

As soon as I updated I get stuck in "loading Codecs". Other times it just doesn't start at all. No Hyper-V running.

I clean-reinstalled windows, installed again 17.4.0, AND IT DOESN'T WORK WTF???

Hi,

I'm not "stuck" but when it comes to this message "loading fairlight page", resolve just shutdown.
I removed all USB devices and nothing changed. I use nVidia driver.

You haven't given any system details, not even if you are using Free or Studio.
So that someone at BMD can check your system and configuration, for Windows do the following.

If you are on a MAC, look in the FAQ section at the top of the forum to see how to capture logs.

For Ubuntu Linux issues, you'll likely get more suggestions from this thread:

This is where most of the non-CentOS distro questions are posted, and there are lots of people using things like Ubuntu that may have suggestions.

A Resolve log file is also generally useful. In your app launcher menu should be an app called DaVinci Resolve Capture Logs, with a gear icon, that will generate a Resolve log file.

My issue is that it gets stuck "Loading Waveform Monitor"

Macbook Specifications:

MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2010)
2.66 GHz Intel Core i7
8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 512 MB
Intel HD Graphics 288 MB

Trying to open Davinci Resolve 16 as I've heard 17 may not work with these specs but alas still no luck.

If ANYONE can help me with this, it would save my life!!

The GPUs don't meet the min specs, as listed in the read me.
