why is this so??? if the frameio integration is seen as the best way to have client approval and sign off why can i not export a subtitle burn in?

Actually would be very useful to have the subtitles burned in, or have the option to add them afterwards as *.srt files

Can we please have the option to make the subtitles closed for social media? Its great that I can import from SRT file but would be so useful to have subtitles embeded so that they can be used for Facebook and instagram etc.

YES +1 !! This makes the use of Frame.io extremely limited.

Also agree... I can't / don't use the Frame.io export option because of this.
There's a Feature Request thread in the subforum above, if anyone is interested in adding their '+1' up there.

Let's have a return to the glory days, when press releases for new versions included text like "...with over 300 new features and improvements that professional editors and colorists have asked for."

+1

Without support for subtitles, Frame.io is useless for me. In fact, why is the "Subtitle Settings" not available on the render presets for YouTube/Twitter/Vimeo/Dropbox either?

Nobody knows why they won't let us auto upload to Dropbox or Frame.io with burn ins... but at least we can now make our own presets, including with subtitle burn in, and auto upload to YouTube, Vimeo and Twitter.

"currently as designed."

This is the only official answer? nice. I'd appreciate a bit more of a response, please.

Anything around potential future development or addition to features, etc.?

Thanks
