What does ImgOverlayControl do?

PostThu Nov 30, 2023 1:52 pm

I was just reading through the Fuse SDK manual, where it says:

INPID_PreviewControl string : If present this attribute uses a string to describe the type of
on screen control displayed for the control. For example a Point type
control would set this attribute to "TransformControl" if a set of
crosshairs should be displayed in the views when the tool is selected.
Valid values include: AngleControl, CrossHairControl, ImgOverlayControl,
RectangleControl, PointControl, TransformControl

All the other controls are explained furter on in the manual, except for the ImgOverlayControl.
So what is it and how do you use it in a Fuse?

There might be some hints in the Fusion SDK. Check that StandardControls.h has Image Overlay Control. It seems to me just an image 2D Transform controls, whereas TransformControl is a 3D Transform.
