days of work in fusion totally gone

DaVinci Resolve version 18.5

put a short section of video on the timeline. opened the fusion tab. manually cut multiple sections out of it and filled them back in with semi transparent shapes. dozens of them. took days to do. saving multiple times through the day and every night before leaving the pc.

this morning
resolve was still open from the night before.
click save.
move to edit tab.
move the video along the timeline to a free space.
copy the section of the timeline with the video in it.
save again
open a new project
paste in the copied section
open fusion
empty

go back to original
go to the fusion tab.
empty

back to project manager
right click project backups
empty

back to timeline
right click and select timeline backup to yesterday
go to fusion
empty

any idea what to try next?

From the edit page, go to your clip and then right click and then "Open in timeline." Now you can go to the fusion tab and hopefully you have your work back.
