Match color between Fusion and Edit page

PostSun Jun 09, 2024 3:20 pm

Hello,
Here is my problem:
I have a Solid Color in the timeline in edit page. Just a simple blue (#59A6DE) for instance.
Now I need to create something into Fusion with a background. And I set the color of the background the same (#59A6DE) but the result is absolutely not the same.

My Color management in attachement.

I sent the whole Sunday on solution but nothing working and nothing really clear.
Thank you for helping.

What happens when you turn on viewer lut in Fusion to "managed".

Also you might activate this option in fusion settings.

Thank you KrunoSmithy,

Sorry but doesn't work :)
I changed the Fusion setting to check on Gamma aware color controls - Gamma 2.4
It's change something but still not the same color.

And if I change the Lut viewer in Fusion, it makes a change in Fusion page but nothing when back on Edit page.
Thank you

Viewer lut does not modify the actual data in the stream so will have zero effect on edit page. Unless one insists on adding ”viewer lut” as an actual node in the graph, which obviously makes it not a viewer operation anymore… but as someone stated here recently this is how view ops are actually added by composting proz

Thank you Hendrick,
But any solution ?
All I need is simple as when I have a background in the Edit page (solid color generator) as #0066ff I expect when I create a background #0066ff in Fusion to have the same result in the Edit page. And it's not the case. Not just a very little different but really different :D

Thanks

The ViewLUT is 1000's of times faster than the LUT tool, though, because there's no system memory operation involved. You should set Fusion up so that it's viewers, through a view/global LUT are matching what the MediaOut shows in Delivery.
