Sticky Note Colors

PostTue Nov 12, 2024 7:16 pm

Please bring back Sticky Note colors. They're more helpful than underlays for calling attention to an area and allow you to convey more information. Making different colors is useful and has been missed since Fu9.

Put these in the Macros folder to add to the Command Window.

Hey,

Ben, if you feel like comparing the burdens of making .settings files vs a basic trick which however needs an extra action, here's a tip : put an underlay node > put a sticky note inside > change the Und color > shift drag the note out of it : it will keep the color inherited from the Und ;)

Thanks for the tip! This actually came around because I was doing that but that method is like a whole extra three clicks with a mouse and I'm too lazy for that. I tend to use the same three or four colors all the time so just typing "teal" or "olive" into the command window was just more efficient.

P.S.
You don't necessarily need to do the underlay trick to change the note color. You can highlight any node along with a note and change the color. Both will be affected.
