Fusion 20 removed a useful feature. Why?

PostSun Jun 08, 2025 6:23 pm

Fusion Studio's GUI has some annoyances, but there was one thing I liked. If you clicked a drop down menu, and then click again without moving the mouse, you were able to move the mouse wheel and that would cause the menu to move to each item in the list one by one.

This was especially useful for example in the Apply Mode and Operator, where you could quickly preview all the modes without having to click each time on the drop down menu to open it, then go to the next item, click and so on. I don't understand why BMD removes code from the program for no reason.

Meanwhile, we still have behaviors that don't make sense, like if you want to double click on the range end input field to narrow the render range for something, and you press Enter or Esc and the input field stays in edit mode, and if you press Tab you keep going to the next field over and over. But that is more consistent with typical UI/UX behavior and it's fine. But you just don't have a way to get out of edit mode without clicking somewhere else in the GUI. It's the only program I've ever used that behaves like that, not even Resolve works like that.
