I've now tried this with some older graphics drivers and same behaviour. I then installed Resolve Studio 20.2.2 and tried it on the fusion page - the frisch depth of field node loads without crashing Resolve, and seems to work but has its own bug - the cursor that frisch throws up when node is selected and viewed isn't showing. As this cursor is used to pick the zdepth from the image this is a pain, but you can enter the x and y pixel co-ordinates into the node manually as a workaround. This same bug appeared some time ago in Fusion Studio but was fixed by BM devs in subsequent versions.
So - where we're at. The frisch OFX node loads and works fine in FuStudio 20.2.1. In FuStudio 20.2.2 loading errors are thrown up for OFX plugins and inserting a frisch depth of field node completely crashes fusion, but only on my laptop system (spec on laptop listed below). On my other systems there is no OFX load error and frisch works fine, although SecondMan reports a console error thrown on his system in a post above - "Warning: OFS Plugin Depth of Field reportw thread safety of OfxImageEffectRenderUnsafe. This is not supported in Fusion, and use of this plugin may result in instability".
So I'm at a bit of a standstill, unless someone from BM dev can have a look at this, I'm afraid.
