Stabilising footage through projection in Fusion

PostWed Apr 22, 2015 1:37 pm

Hello everyone!

I've been using Fusion for couple years before switching to Nuke but now that Fusion is free I find myself using it for stuff that can't be done in Nuke quickly.

But today I've stumbled on one thing I can't do in Fusion I suppose. Namely, I'd like to project footage onto geometry which has it's own UV's (lets say sphere with default sphere uv), and then use OpenGL UV Renderer to see the footage stabilised. Good way for cleanups etc. Only in Fusion even though I'm rendering through this OGL UV Renderer, the whole footage moves as original, as if projection doesn't keep it in one place on the uv's set.

I tried using Projector3D, as well as projecting using only Camera built in projection, both light and texture with Cather node as well.

Have anyone tried this in Fusion, with any success ?

The UV Projector has a lock feature, which locks teh projection to certain frames.
