How to Checkerboard?

PostSat Apr 18, 2015 2:52 pm

Really simple, Fusion don't have any checkerboard generator? or I miss it?
I see BG tool which can create h, v, 4 corner, gradient
but how do I generate Checker?

all the others compositing software out there that i used, have a way to generate checkerboard, so I kinda surprise here.

any help on this?

A quick way to generate a Checkerboard is a Background (White) with two Rectangles to generate a Chess tile.
Then scaling it down with a Transform Tool, set to wrap.
For non square formats you need to compensate for the aspect (doable with a simple expression).

I find Gregory Chalenko's AdvancedGrid_v02.2 very good for user definable grids. There is a copy on the page mentioned above but I think it may be the version that didn't work with Fusion 7 - see this thread

http://www.steakunderwater.com/wesuckle ... ?f=6&t=323

Pieter fixed the problem and his new version is downloadable from his post on this thread, works fine on fu7.7

. . . although I believe the old one may also work now that some of the expression bugs were fixed on the 7.7.1 release (thanks Rony).
