Text+ monospaced issue

Hi.

I'm trying to build an effect with Text+,
which requires truly monospaced letter-spacing.

Although I pulled the monospaced slider up to 1,
the text is not monospaced at all, as you can see from the attached comp.

Is this a bug or a feature?...

No sure if this will solve your issue, but the slider can go higher than 1 (as do many max values in Fusion)

Give it a try...increase the monospaced value
and the issue is still the same...just different...

In my understanding, "monospaced" means that the space between the rectangular shapes
should be all the same size.
When increasing the value, not only the spacing changes, but the actual *size* of the rectangles as well.
(Making them even less monospaced...)

Turn off "Use font defined kerning". It's forcing your Y and A to be closer than they should be, or rather, it's making them closer AS they should be.
