Missing I/O Settings and Movie file saver options

PostThu Dec 10, 2015 8:54 pm

Hi there,
I just started diving into Fusion 8 and was about to try to export my test shot and noticed that the Saver only allows me to save out image sequences and not movie files, such as x264.

I noticed in the docs that it mentions there should be an I/O category under Preferences|General, but I don't see that there.

I'm using Windows 10 and I seem to be able to open a ton of codecs and, after I noticed this problem I reinstalled a bunch of codecs and I'm still not seeing the ability to create anything other than image sequences.

I've also just uninstalled (full using IOBit Uninstaller) and re-installed Fusion 8 to see if something got corrupted somewhere but after that I'm seeing the same thing (or, rather, not seeing).

Any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong or what I can do to remedy the situation?
I'm loving Fusion, by the way. Super fast so far.

Thanks,
Alec

Well, I re-installed Quicktime for Windows 10 and now I see associated formats. Any idea why AVI and associated formats wouldn't show?

Thanks and sorry for the question that I should have figured out myself.

Rony said that's temporary. They haven't added back Windows-only features yet, as they've been focusing on the OSX side.
