DNG shot not the same in Fusion and Resolve

PostMon Mar 21, 2016 11:21 am

Hi, everyone!

I have a BMCC DNG shot which I import into DaVinci Resolve and apply colour corrections to.

That same shot requires VFX work in Fusion. When I load the DNG shot into Fusion, do the VFX, and render out (save as DPX 10-bit), the exposure does not look like the original anymore.

Can anyone please suggest the proper procedure to keep footage matched in a situation like this?

DNG loading in Fusion is effectively broken. Convert somewhere else to DPX or EXR or whatever.

Thanks, Chad! DPX worked perfectly! It also allowed me to export the Resolve graded footage before doing the VFX alterations. The Fusion DPX render returned the footage looking the same.
