Fusion Rendernode not showing up in rendermanager

PostTue Jul 05, 2016 3:46 pm

Hi guys,
i'm currently updating the renderfarm to f8.1 and here come the problems.
As of now the rendernodes only seem to work on the few blades with gpus, the more powerful ones with just integrated graphics (matrox g200ew) can't seem to even run it.
I even tried installing the studioversion with a dongle on them, cannot get it to show ui after the splashscreen.

I reinstalled everything from drivers to windows, there are NO issues with the network, as deadline/maya/f6.4 etc pp work just fine. Firewalls are off, i tested with drives mapped as network drives or as unc paths.

Specs for the blades are:
dual Xeon e5 2670, Supermicro x9dr3-f, min. 64gb ram, 120gb corsair ssd, win 7 pro x64

When i start the rendernodes via cmd with a log, i get the following:

---------------------------------------------------
Starting Fusion Render Node 8.1.1 at 05/Jul/16 17:44:47
C:/Program Files/Blackmagic Design/Fusion Render Node 8\FusionRenderNode.exe
---------------------------------------------------
Checking for licenses...
Loading support DLLs
Loading Plugins
Initialising Class Registry

.end of log

I'm somewhat baffled what i'm supposed to do now- i cannot buy pcie-riser cards and singleslot gpus for the whole farm. Please help!

Update from me:

It seems its purely a problem with F8.
I installed F7.7 just for kicks and it worked on the first try.
Any insights why neither Fusion8Studio nor Fusion8Rendernode will even start properly?
