Dirty LED panel

PostThu Oct 06, 2016 8:22 am

Hi Folks.

A little spin-off from a recent project.
We needed to do some monitor burn ins, which were not meant to look clean
but should rather have that typical moiree-effect and LED look when zoomed in.

Mind you...this is not suitable for zooming into individual pixels,
as that would have required a totally different, rather hard to handle approach.
(Or a shader. Anyone? Bueller?...:-))
But for the occasional zoom in it's totally sufficient.

Enjoy.

Eric.

Thanks Eric,

The effect is great! Thanks for sharing.

It's also helps to understand a little more about replace material and texture 2D, which i'm currently working on with my own stuff.

Cheers for sharing

Thanks Eric. This is quite useful so I can learn how to use some of the nodes.

Thanks to Chad, here's a much sleeker version, utilizing only one imageplane.
