3D Matte with soft edges at intersection?

PostWed Nov 23, 2016 5:35 pm

Hi,

I have a question. Is it possible to soften the interesting edges of 3D objects with a material matte?

Basically, I have two 3D shape objects intersecting in 3D space. One object has an "Is Matte" property while the other has a default material. Is there any way to soften the edges where the two objects intersect?

For example - to soften these two intersecting objects: (Is Matte - is applied to one)

..

Or, is it possible to soften the intersection of two 3D objects regardless of a matte material?

Thanks!
