Problems with network rendering

PostWed Feb 08, 2017 11:14 am

Hi,

with fusion 8.2.1 studio on windows I've got problems with network rendering.

My render farm has 4 identical pc's running on windows.

Those PCs are only for use in the render farm, no further software (except of the render-client software) ist installed.

They run absolutely flawlessly with every network rendering application except of fusion.

With fusion on every second or third render job one or two of the render nodes are crashing.
It's only the fusion render node software on those render-pc's crashing. The rest ist running flawlessly.
Also it changes which render-node (on which render-pc) is crashing.

Sometimes pc #1, sometime #3, sometimes #2, sometime #4 ...

It's independent of the pc, it's independent of the render job.

What do I have to consider for getting fusions network render bulletproof stable?

Or is it a well known thing that fusions network render is pretty unstable?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Peter
