Fusion doesn't save renders as a video

PostWed Sep 28, 2016 7:56 pm

Dear Community,

I recently started using fusion 8 on Linux, but I can't get the render to save as a video file, it saves the frames one by one as image files. In the saver node I tried to select a different format for the saver, but the thing still doesn't work.
I also get these two error messages in the console, But i don't know if they have anything to do with my problem.

OpenCL clGetPlatformIDs failed: CL_PLATFORM_NOT_FOUND_KHR
OpenCL Could not find valid context: CL_DEVICE_NOT_FOUND

Thank you in advance,

Your two issues are unrelated.

AFAIK Fusion for Linux currently only exports sequences. I believe this is a temporary condition of a work in progress.

The other message you got is related to the use of an openCL node, like Rays, that normally uses your GPU to perform its task.

Probably your video card is not installed correctly or is not capable of running OpenCL. In Preferences you can also change the GPU assigned to openCL tasks (if you have 2 or more) or even select you CPU (which is usually slower, but can solve any compatibility issues)
