Round trip from Resolve to Paint - template?

PostThu Apr 27, 2017 8:20 am

I'm using Fusion (as I'm already grading in Resolve) for a number of little jobs that I would normally use After Effects for.

One of these is for painting out blemishes, using the stroke tool.

Question is: what is the best way to save a 'default' environment for this (i.e. window layout, brush size & softness, stroke selected etc) and retain the link back to Resolve

Never quite sure which combo of macro/fuse/setting/expression/template would be best suited to me for this...

Thanks for any help / tutorial pointers etc

you can change all the settings in any tool to the point you like it and save that as default values. (RMB->settings->save default)
if you now create a new tool of that kind it will start with the settings you set as your default

for the window layout you can also save that:
1) window->view layout -> save layout and also reload that by just choosing one
2) you adjust all your windows and viewers as you like and save it in the preferences:
file->preferences->global-> layout -> hit all "grab" buttons, check "create floating views", check "recall layout saved in composition", check all under window settings
