videos not loaded in Fusion 16

PostFri Oct 18, 2019 3:33 pm

Hello
I've been struggling in the preference folder but I'm still unable to find why none of my videos can be loaded in Fusion 16, whereas they all work fine in Fusion 9 which is installed on the same computer (windows 10).
I always get the following message on the console:
Loader1 failed to load file "C:\Users\alain\Documents\PbFusion16\20190816_143225.mp4" (clip "C:\Users\alain\Documents\PbFusion16\20190816_143225.mp4" at frame 0)
Loader1 failed at time 0

The video is h264 encoded, 30fps. It can be loaded with Fusion 9

There must be some settings missing somewhere... I'm really lost
Should I give a path to ffmpeg somewhere ?
Does anyone have a hint ?

I eventually found a way out:
- uninstall Fusion 9
- install the most recent version of ffmpeg shared libs
- provide a path to ffmpeg shared libs by adding a new path map in Fusion Preferences

just in case someone would stumble on the same problem...

I recently posted a topic concerning my surprise that the most recent FFmpeg works with Fusion Studio 16.1 - I was specifically having issues with some of my mp4s and some other media and this was fixed by doing exactly what you did! This is hugely useful information.

Thank you for all these informations

installing ffmpeg and adding path to fusion seems to solve the problem, that's really great!

Best Regards
