Add background layer to fusion title

PostSat Feb 08, 2020 8:56 pm

Hello,

I would like to adapt a "Lower 3rd fusion title" in 2 ways:

1) Make a half transparent background layer to make the text more readable

2) Track its position to one moving object in the scene

Opening the title in fusion did confuse me as I expected to move around layers like in after effects (that I know). Please advice.

Thank you.

Hi John,

Welcome to the Fusion world. Fusion is node based instead of layer based, as you have noticed.
The big change in thinking between nodes and layers is that nodes are - in my view - more intuitive.
They're like stories. Once upon a loader/mediaIn there was a big colorchange then the changed color got all blurry, but wait, what happened next? The blurry colored loader met a title it liked and they got together (merge node) together they went on a big trip, moving up and down (animated transform) etc etc.

You're always thinking: what's going to happen next? So it's a very easy to follow process.
Try to do a couple of very basic Fusion tutorials first and see if you can grasp the concept.
Once you do, there are plenty of people here willing to help you out.
