Fusion connect 9 avid check box

Im trying to use Fusion 9.0.2 connect with avid 2019.12 ultimate + Fusion 9.0.2
I have installed connect and I have it partly functioning in avid, however I can not use some of the check boxes in the effect editor. I can not get the check boxes edit effect, browse for location, create new version and configure path defaults to work. altho the other check boxes do work.
without edit effect I cant make a fusion file so its basically unusable. Im on mac 10.14.
any help greatly appreciated.

OK, for those that come across this. the work around is to only install fusion 9 and only install fusion connect studio 16. this allows you to use the avid plug in properly. I guess something about the new avid interface is screwing with the old fusion 9 connect plug in. with this combination you still get the free fusion version to do your HD comps.
