OCIO Viewer LUT - ACES CCT Issue

PostTue Apr 21, 2020 4:16 pm

Hi,

In the new Fusion 16.2.1 (and older versions too) the OCIO Color Space viewer LUT have some issues displaying ACES CCT OCIO transformation. If you set ACES CCT as source space and Output - sRGB as output space, some blue and red bands appears on middle greys, but this happen only when the pixel value are grey, if the pixel value have predominant colors the transform looks correct.

Also this is only a Viewer LUT issue because when you convert your CCT information to sRGB to export your render, the grey values looks correct as you can see in the image below:

You can see the same issue with other example:

And this happens with ACES 1.2 / 1.1 / 1.0.3. Some users in Discord tested the same condition and the result is the same, blue and red bands appears.

Hope you can take a look in to this, I attached the fist example.

Thanks and cheers!
