Same node tree, big difference Fusion vs Resolve

PostMon Jul 13, 2020 7:11 pm

Please help me figure this out.
I try to do a simple wipe on text over a BG in Resolve Fusion tab. And I get really unexpected result with my alpha.

I was a bit confused, so I try the same node tree in Fusion Studio. This is just as I expected from this simple comp.

Where do I go wrong?
Resolve 16.2.3.015
Fusion Studio 16.2.22
No Color Management in Resolve

Attached are my projects.

In Resolve Fusion, you are using a MediaIn node for your text png, but in standalone Fusion you are using a Loader node. Use a Loader node in Resolve Fusion and your comp should work.

Interesting... Yes, it is a 32bpc float problem using Substract in the Matte control. So the Loader have a depth option taken from the input file format. In this case, it has switch to 8bpc. The Media IN has no depth option.
thanks
