Color Correction/Grading affects whole comp

PostTue Sep 22, 2020 12:21 am

Hi There,

I have a basic comp with a foreground and background merged together. When i bring in a color corrector node to the foreground it affects the whole comp. Any idea what i am doing wrong? I just want to correct the foreground without affecting the complete composition.

Find the predivide/postmultiply checkbox in one of the tabs of the color corrector and make sure it's checked, this will - most likely - solve your problem.

That's the normal order of operation. The color page is unaware of the alpha until you pass it on.

You can feed any number of alpha channels to MediaOut nodes in Fusion. In the color page you click right click on the tree node area and select Add Input. Each input represents one MediaOut node.

From there you can pipe the alpha to any node where you want to use it as a mask.
