Mac - Fusion Comp > Can't access folder error

PostWed Jan 20, 2021 8:19 pm

Hi all,

I've started to learn how to use fusion and I am stuck straight away with some error that is probably due to how Mac's access control works. So when I create a new Fusion Comp by right clicking in the media pool area and select "new fusion composition" it's working fine. However, as soon as I drag this new comp onto the timeline I get an error prompt. See attached file.
In short It seems to want to have access to a folder but in stead of naming the folder it's blank. So I have no clue what it wants. I have my movies and downloads folder in my media storage preferences and that is fine for anything else i've been working on up until now.

Does anyonehave a clue on how I can solve this issue? Really want to get started with learning Fusion.

thanks a billion!

Oh yeah, so i'm on Davinci Resolve 16.2.7.010 and my mac is running OS 10.14.6 Mojave.

Go to System Prefs>Security and Privacy >Privacy

On my end,Full Disk Access has Fusion checked. Files and Folders has Media Express and DiskSpeed Test with Removable Volumes, Downloads, and Documents folder all checked.

Did anyone solve this?

I gave Full Disk Permission to Da Vinci Resolve, still I am getting the same error.

I'm having this issue as well, and granting full access doesn't help. Did anyone figure anything out?

Hey guys,

I don't think this specific issue is connected to the Mac pref sys security but by the Resolve's preferences... First, did you try adding any HD connected to you mac in this storage list ?
(because it kind of looks like something - you didn't expected - is needed for this Fu comp but outside of this storage range...)
*MacMini M1 16 Go - Ext nvme SSDs on TB3 - 14 To HD in 2 x 4 disks USB3 towers
*Legacy MacPro 8core Xeons, 32 Go ram, 2 x gtx 980 ti, 3SSDs including RAID
*Resolve Studio everywhere, Fusion Studio too
