Hi,

Think I have been a bit of a Noobi here.

I get the error when I don't have video footage linked to the 'Mediain' node.

If I am making an overlay track and start the fusion node map with a 'Mediain'
I get the 'Media Offline' error when I place it on the timeline, as it is looking for footage.
So if you wanted to make a text overlay leave out the 'Mediain' node and no error.

However, if you want to place text on the footage, make that clip a Fusion Clip
and start with a 'Mediain' node and no 'Media Offline' error.

Seems to work.

Also, a heads up: for actual media files, like video clips or images, try a "loader node" instead of the default "MediaIn" node. Because apparently MediaIn nodes don't actually know what media is, and they will constantly tell you your media is "offline" even when it isn't. Loader nodes allow you to direct the node to the actual file so that it can find the media.

Why Fusion creates a "MediaIn" node by default when you drag in a media clip instead of creating a loader node, is a mystery that would baffle Sherlock Holmes.
