Fusion Toolbar no longer visable

PostMon Feb 15, 2021 6:34 pm

I am not sure where it went, SHIFT+SPACE will not open the toolbar popup window in Fusion so that I can select a tool, this started last week as of build 33.
I have gone through every menu option that I can think of, and scanned the forum with no success.
The menu is there because I can arrow down a few clicks and hit enter and a tool will populate the fusion workspace.. The actual popup window list of Tools will not show..

I can only guess that somehow I have inadvertently unchecked something, somewhere.
I am hoping that someone can assist me to re enable the toolbar popup window so that I can get to node tools on the fusion page again.

Using
DR Version 17.08 Build 33

Thank you in advance

Did your screen configuration change recently? This most often happens when the Add Tool dialog is appearing in a screen space that no longer exists. To retrieve it, you need to move it back onto your main screen. If you're on Windows, follow these steps precisely. No extra keystrokes or button presses, or it doesn't work!

First, make sure that Fusion has application focus by clicking in the Flow view to make it active.

Hit Escape to ensure that Add Tool is not currently up and no other hidden windows are going to interfere.

Shift+Space to call up Add Tool.

Alt+Space activates the window alt-menu.

M to activate Move mode.

Press one of the arrow keys. This will nudge the window slightly (even though you still can't see it).

Move your mouse. The window should "stick" to the pointer, reappearing on your screen.

Click to drop it wherever you like. It should now appear at that location when you call it up in the future. This will work for any Windows application that's opened a pane on a non-existent screen.

Bryan,
That was so awesome ! Thank you Thank you for that step by step instruction.
It was perfect, I did exactly as you described and it exactly worked.
I was so bummed previously and now super happy to get to use my copy of DR again !!

If you can not tell, I am really appreciative of your help.
Thank you for taking to the time to write out those steps.

You're quite welcome!

I actually answer that question frequently enough that I have a text doc on my desktop that I copy-and-paste from.

Hello,

I have the exact same issue.
I have followed your steps, and it worked, but every time I call the "Add toolbar", it shows somewhere I don't see. It does not stay where I put it the last time. Do you know what could be wrong?

Thanks
