Vertical Nodes Area

Dear Blackmagic,

Please do the simple adjustment to the UI.
We need more space for Nodes! The idea to switch Effects and Nodes in the same area is OK.

Indeed! Or just let us dock the panels where we want. The longer I'm in node based programs, the more I need vertical space. Creations go top to bottom with OUTPUT at the bottom. Parts feed into it left to right ending in a Merge into the downward stream. It's been stated many time before but just bring back the way Fu 9 worked. People aren't being curmudgeons, it's an actual workflow need. Lefties benefitted too! Your idea is a good compromise.

+1, been harping on about this to support since V16, still no one is listening. We are able to hack V16 to make the layout work but it no longer seems possible, our studio is holding off on V17 all together. BMD's Fusion Support is possibly the worst we have ever dealt with.

Resolve 17 has this option now in the Fusion page. Strange it's not in Fusion Studio. If it doesn't appear in the next standalone release I can't see how this isn't intentional. At that point, just kill the app and move on.

Ultimately this would be solved with a customizable UI. We need the ability to drag around UI elements and place them where we like. It's been brought up quite a few times but definitely needs to be addressed. Full customization is standard in professional software. The rigidity in the interface of v16+ has been very frustrating.

I have created a layout that kind of works with the nodes to the side, we don't seem to be able to change the Layout component anymore, it keeps getting overridden by a default. More information here:

Please BMD sort this out.
