Define Custom Variable/Parameter

I have a parameter with SimpleExpression that requires a numeric variable.

The variable has a default value and can be customized by the user.

How do you define such a variable in Fusion?

An expression modifier won't work here as Number In and Point In controls are not accessible from SimpleExpression.

Declaring a variable using the multi-line technique in SimpleExpression is error-prone.

Any suggestions?

What kind of expression is in the Simple Expression? Sometimes it's enough to add a custom control to your tool and reference that in your expression, but it depends on the complexity.

The custom variable is just an integer.

What custom control do people normally use to define a variable? Do you have an example?
