Text mask not applying to image

Hello everyone,
I'm confused by the following behaviour:

create a Background
create a Text
connect Text to mask Backgroud
working

Import Image
create Text
connect Text to mask Image
not working

What am I doing wrong here?

Your image size is way bigger than your Text+ node. You can merge your image with a Background node with its alpha set to zero so that the Text+ and image have the same dimensions, then it should work. I would also set the Image Scaling under the Projects Settings to Center Crop with no Resizing so your image is full size in Fusion without the transparent border around the edges. You can also change the size of the Text+ to match the dimensions of your image.

Yes, it makes sense that my image was way too big for the text to actually see the effect!
It's quite not the obvious tho, also because if I apply the text mask directly on the Image, it shows me the Text's outlines (weirdly stretched I must say..), as seen in picture.

Another strange behaviour is that if I try to scale the font up to the piont that it actually makes the mask visible, it has this strange behaviour. It seems somehow clipped, see picture.
