Fusion Clip with different resolution media

PostThu Apr 15, 2021 8:26 pm

I’m working on a 1080x1920 project with media that’s originally 3840x2160. Here’s my problem: when I create a fusion clip to create split screen designs, my MediaIns come pre-cropped in my timeline’s vertical resolution (well, duh!).
I wanted to have access to the the clips in Fusion as I edited them on my timeline (with color effects applied), but with their original 4K resolution and framing, so I can manipulate them inside of Fusion instead of having to “open in timeline” and cropping and resizing without being able to see the result in real time with the design I had in Fusion.

Does that make sense? What’s a better workflow for this?

This is one of the screens I'm working on. I wanted to be able to freely reposition each video within the frames I built inside of Fusion. I hope this makes it clearer!
