What does a red node name meen?

I bought some text macros from Motion Array and they don't work. When I look at the text in Fusion the node is red. Does anyone know what this means?

It means they don't work. Contact the seller?

Most often it means that there's a tool in the macro that needs a resource it's not getting. Either you need to supply an input, or perhaps the font used in the macro is not present on your system. Or there could be some other condition the maker assumed that isn't true of the way you're using it.

Okay this makes sense. Unfortunately about half of the Resolve templates I get from Motion Array don't work.

Chances are it just means the font it was built with is not on your system. Change the font to one you have and press play the red might go away.

The fonts needed are installed. I have seen this problem though even with the correct fonts. Sometimes they just need a change, then change back but this is not my issue.

When I get red nodes, i immediately go back to frame 1, as they can also occur if your source clip is not long enough to reach the part of the timeline you are sitting on. If it isn't red on frame 1, but is red later on, you may have a source length issue.

If you have a 3 second source clip, and a timeline that is 10 seconds long, you could get red nodes after the 3 second mark.

Or as was stated earlier, you might not have a proper source plugged into the the node to complete the operation.
