Hi, I tried searching in this forum but could not find the answer.
How do I import 3d object and have it stay at the grid origin?

Thank you,

When you import 3D objects they will be places at the location they were exported from your 3D software.
So check if your object in located at 0,0,0 in your 3D software, export and then import to Fusion

To do it without needing to go back into a 3d package:

Put your geo in the viewport, create a Transform3D node, and drag the Pick button next to Translation to the object in the Viewport. Tick the Invert Transform box at the bottom of the control panel. Then connect your geo to the Transform and view it. The spot you picked on the object will be at the origin. Assuming you weren't able to exactly pick the centroid, you may need to adjust the Translation sliders a bit to put it exactly where you want it.
