Best option for a drag and drop pan effect under adj clip?

PostFri May 07, 2021 12:28 am

Hi,

On the Edit page I have a video clip, and an adjustment clip above that with effects added to the adjustment clip. See image:

This adjustment clip applies a mask and some other effects to the video underneath. At certain points, I want to cut the video clip, and add a drag / drop effect so I can zoom/pan from various directions during the duration of that clip, just like how you'd use a keyframe stretcher so it's automatic.

I know I can add an adjustment clip on top of all these to do this, but I don't want it to pan/zoom over the whole video with the mask like so:

Rather, I only want the pan/zoom applied to the masked area of the video clip under the adjustment, like this. Notice how the image is zoomed / panning, while you can still see the whole mask (red).

I also know I can click the clip and use dynamic zoom on the Edit page, open the dynamic zoom overlay, and change the red/green boxes...

I also know I can use a Transform node via the pivot attribute in Fusion...

But I want something to let me drag/drop only on the section I want, without having to do all those extra steps.

Any ideas how to do this?
