"Mocha Powermesh tracker" in Fusion ?

Hey Guys

just wonder, is there any way to track warped surfaces in fusion like Mocha pro Powermesh ?

It might be possible to follow the described procedure to import the Alembic mesh from Mocha to Fusion, then do a camera projection. I'll see if I can't find the time to test it.

Yeah, it works! Not even any need to do a projection, as the UVs are projected from the reference frame (where you began the track) in Mocha. Just plug your texture straight into the mesh object, and away you go.

I obviously didn't spend the time to do a good track and put the vertices in useful places, but I think it suffices as proof that it can work, at least.

@Bryan, importing stuff from Mocha is definitely possible but the OP was asking if you could do the tracking *like* Mocha in Fusion, to which I had to reply 'no' for now.

sure, sure. But I'd been wanting to test that for a while, anyway, and it seemed like a reasonable excuse to do so! :D
