Adobe Fonts don't work in "Text+" or Fusion

As the title suggests, I can't find any of my downloaded texts from Adobe in the "Text+" titles or within Fusion. Oddly enough if I use the normal "text" title in the edit line accordingly, I have all Adobe fonts available.

Is there a reason I can not access Adobe fonts within "Text+" or Fusion?

Thank you in advance for any insight!

Cheers!

Try to install them as an Admin.
Then it should work

It may depend on the software version and PC environment.
I remember there was a bug in both Fusion and Resolve for Win in the beta and early stages of v17 that the settings of Adobe Fonts and other font management software were not applied, and I reported it to support.
There is no official announcement, but it seems to have been fixed since v17.2.

Just tested with latest Resolve (17.4.1) under Mac OS 10.14.6:

Adobe Fonts (activated via Browser) doesn't show up in Resolve.
From my experience: Fusion and Text+ sometimes only work with the older .ttf format. .otf arn't always acccepted and sometimes only work in the 'normal' title generator. Could be connected also with the method of installation. I once used Extensis Suitcase as font managing app - completely not working with Text+ those days.

Fonts that are managed through Extensis Suitcase, Font Explorer or any other Font Manager don't show up in Text+. The "regular" Text effect in the edit tab however does recognize the activated fonts.

The only way for me, to use custom fonts in Fusion / Text+ is to copy them into one of the folders that are specified as a font folder in the Fusion preferences.

I hope DR 18 will fix this.

Just add the user path for Adobe Fonts in the preferences and add it to the Font path.

I suspect I have found a solution to this problem. If you use FontExplorer X, you should set the “FontExplorer X Pro font folder” into User/Font in the Advanced tab of FontExplorer X preferences. Therefore, Text+ will recognise fonts managed by FontExplorer.

I hope this solution solve your issue.

No, that doesn’t fix it, because my Font folder contains several thousand fonts. Therefore i use a Fontmanager, that the system/the apps don’t have to load so many fonts at once.
