Can't get my transform node to transform

PostSun Jun 20, 2021 7:02 pm

Hi All - I am new to fusion and I am having what is likely to be a simple problem that I am just not seeing. I am trying to transform a shape. It is currently piped like this:

Rectangle1 --->Background---->Transform---->Merge---->MediaOut

When I resize using the transform node the rectangle remains the same size. The only thing that appears to happen is that the green box of the transform node gets bigger or smaller.

Thanks for your help in advance!

Are you sure you're viewing the transform (or later) node?

Thanks for responding - yes, I am sure as the transform controls come up. I have had this problem before, so I am guessing that I am doing something wrong. I just cannot figure out what.
I have attached a screenshot to help. Basically the green box transforms but it does nothing to the white square.

The two white dots on your first node show that you're watching that node.
If you click the final node of your node setup and press 1 and 2 on your keyboard (or click-hold-drag that node to your view), you will see the result of the operation. The fact that you can see the (green) controls doesn't have any effect on what tool you're watching. A lot of times you'll want to watch a different node than the one you're actually changing.
