How to change pivots on multiple polygons?

PostTue Jul 20, 2021 5:55 pm

Hi!

New to Fusion, so bear with me.
I get it that Fusion has it's own way of doing things but I find it very confusing and frustrating. Pivots work the same in every program I used (3DS Max, After Effects, Illustrator, etc..) but not here.

I have a rectangle with rounded edges, polygon and a background, say for a speech bubble (rectangle for the body and polygon for the tail).
I need to be able to resize the rectangle to fit different message lenght, while keeping the aspect ratio of the rounded corners, so I can't just do a global transform.

What I would like to be able to do is change the pivot on just the rectangle, so that when I change the width it stays aligned with the polygon.

So far I have not figured this out.

If I use a transform in the chain, I just get a parent child relationship, which doesn't work for this, as I can't just do a global resize/aspect ration change of the rectangle, it looks crap due to the rounded corners.

I'm surely missing something here.
