Bug confirmed in: Fusion Studio 17.3.1 and Resolve Studio 17.3.1
Originally discovered/discussed here: viewtopic.php?f=21&t=147758
Bug: A Planar Tracker (PTra) node in Corner Pin -> FG only mode and connected to a downstream node has a high chance to display an incorrect, cropped image whenever the input image (PTra's green input) is altered in any way. This only occurs when a downstream node is viewed, not when the PTra itself is viewed.
Steps to recreate:
- Add a PTra and perform a track.
- Set PTra to Corner Pin, FG only.
- Pipe an input image to PTra's green (FG) input.
- Connect output of PTRa to a node such as Merge, Blur, Transform, Brightness/Contrast.
- View the PTra node itself in a Viewer.
- Manipulate the PTra's FG input image in any way, eg by adding/adjusting a Blur, Transform, ChangeDepth, etc, or altering the source image node itself (eg change Background settings).
- No problem: observe that the PTra's output image shows the expected result.
- Now view the node downstream of the PTra (eg a Merge), and repeat the alteration of the FG input.
- Bug: Observe that the image will quickly show a broken, cropped result.
Workaround:
- Connect the PTra output to a Dissolve node, then connect the Dissolve to the desired downstream node.
- The Dissolve can be set to pass-through, such that it's not functionally affecting the output at all.
- Repeat the above test and note that it now works fine.
