I'm wondering if there's a quicker way to work when I'm making changes to an image asset in Photoshop while using that asset in a Fusion composition. I'll describe my ideal case and maybe someone can help me get as close as I can. Say I have a solid white image file creatively named "Image01.png" and I am using it in a composition. Ideally, I would like to be able to open Image01 in Photoshop, make a change (eg change it from white to black), and save it, overwriting the old version, and be able to see that change in Fusion more or less immediately. Somehow that isn't what happens, even though theoretically the only file that exists on my computer at that point is the black image. I know that adding a file to the media pool doesn't create a copy of that file, since moving the original to a new location results in a "media offline" error. This suggests that the reason I don't see changes to the file is because it's somehow rendered and cached, but "re-render current frame" doesn't cause the changes to show up either. So far, I've only been able to see those changes by closing and reopening the project, which is obviously not an acceptable workflow. Also, for what it's worth, I am using the Fusion page in Resolve in this case, but I feel like it's unlikely that their media pools work differently. Nevertheless, feel free to recommend I move this to the Resolve subforum.
Is there something I didn't notice in the right click menu for a media pool item that essentially reimports it from its location on disk?
Thanks.
