A key to finesse mouse when adjusting settings in Inspector?

PostTue Oct 12, 2021 1:30 am

Hello.

"Sudden jumps when making fine adjustments of X, Y or Size in Inspector/Tools/Transform"

When trying to make fine adjustments in the Inspector very little movement of the mouse can often cause the image in the viewer to jump or fly off the screen.

In things like Colour when using the mouse to make fine adjustments in the colour wheel one has an option to press a key (I've forgot which at the moment) that slows down the movement of the mouse's pointer as you use it and allows controlled subtle changes.

I'm wondering if there is a similar key that can be held down while working with the mouse in the Inspector to allow more controlled adjustments of the X,Y and Size parameters.

Thanks.

You can make fine adjustments by clicking and dragging on the number next to the slider, rather than the slider itself. (It's unintuitive because that's also where you double click to enter a value manually, but I think that's what you're looking for.)

Control/Cmd drag a parameter in the inspector to make much finer/slow adjustments.

Hi.

Perhaps it's the version of Fusion I'm using (Resolve 15) but I'm afraid the two keys held down - command and control - do nothing to change the speed or finesse of changes made by my mouse over the X,Y and Size parameters. If I hold those two keys down while applying my mouse I get a little pop-up menu offering "paste" and 'select all".

Not both. Control on PC, Command on Mac.
