Fusion studio dongle is not recognized on PC without interne

PostSun Oct 17, 2021 5:40 am

Hello?
What I bought is a Fusion Studio 9 dongle.
The computer in my office does not have an internet connection.
Blackmagic Design told me to buy a free version or a dongle.
I bought a dongle, but my computer doesn't recognize the dongle well. If the dongle is recognized by chance, it is recognized even if I shut down and run Fusion, but when I shut down and restart the computer, it is not recognized.
I've been looking for something on this forum, but I haven't been able to find a solution.
My dongle was purchased from a reputable shopping mall in Korea (I'm Korean) and it doesn't seem like the dongle is a counterfeit product.
I've been using Fusion all day today because it doesn't recognize the dongle.
I bought 2 dongles and both have the same problem.
What should I do?
thank you.

If u purchased from an authorized BMD reseller you should contact them.
If not, try a different usb 2 port.
You don’t need internet access for legitimate dongles.

Please check with them if the dongles are specifically meant for Fusion Studio.

If it is a DaVinci Resolve dongle, you will need at least Fusion Studio 16 to benefit from cross-product licensing

Hello?
I don't know if I'll get a reply even if I re-post this post now...
My dongle is a Fusion studio 9 dongle, and the version I am using is the latest version, Fusion studio 17.4.1.
DaVinci Resolve recognizes dongles on company PCs without internet connection.
However, Fusion Studio is only recognized occasionally and cannot be used.
Is there any way to make Fusion Studio more aware of the dongles?
It is the same even if you try to connect to all other ports, and shut down and reboot the PC.
I would like you to take action to make the software technically more aware of the dongle at Blackmagic Design.
thank you.

with Resolve Studio 17.4.1 installed and running, use the help menu to generate diagnostic logs and put a link to the complete zip file.
also include your NFO please.. details in the Resolve forum FAQs

No, the file is not correct.

You need to launch Resolve 17.4.1, then load or start a new project.

Then select the Resolve Help menu, then select the "Create Diagnostics Log on Desktop" menu.

The log file it creates on your desktop may be too large to send as a Forum attachment. If so, put the file on a file sharing site, and provide a link to the file here.

If you are a new Forum user, it may not allow you to post a URL. If that happens, just put a space near the front of the URL, so the system doesn't think it's a URL.
