Rendered ProRes metadata is 1-1-1 instead of 1-2-1

PostSun Oct 24, 2021 4:22 am

On a M1 Mac mini, I render a source PRORES 444 file out from Davinci color managed with REC709 and Gamma 2.4 and it's tagged correctly as 1-2-1 REC709 Gamma 2.4. This file rendered back out of Fusion Studio using PRORES 444 and using all REC709 color options comes out as 1-1-1 when I use get info in the finder.

When the file is brought back into DaVinci Resolve the gamma is displayed wrong. Brighter, blacks lifted. When I go to the clip "input color space", it says the clip is REC709-A. I can of course override the clip input color space to REC709 and Gamma 2.4 and it now appears exactly as what it originally looked like in Davinci with the correct gamma settings.

Just wondering if there is a setting or something I missed for the correct metadata tagging inside Fusion Studio for rendering out PRORES 444 files?

Thanks! David.
