I've installed FuStudio 17.4 on two separate laptops. On the first, it starts fine. Spec is
win 10 64b 21H1 build 19043.1288 i7-4800MQ 32 gigs Ram Quadro K3100M Bitdefender Total Security AV.
I then installed it on a second laptop - spec is
win 10 64b 21H1 build 19043.1288 i7-6700HQ 32 gigs Ram GeForce GTX 1070 Bitdefender Total Security AV
When I try and run it the grey screen comes up but after a second it gives an error message -
Fusion Studio has stopped working. A problem caused the programme to stop working. Please close the program.
I've tried
1) deleting profile 2) removing all OFX plugins 3) reinstalling multiple times 4) trying to start with Resolve up 5) swapping dongles
but the behaviour doesn't change. Fu 17.3.2 runs fine (on both systems). There is no Synology service on either.
I've checked the Bitdefender firewall and it says that the fusion.exe for 17.4 has been allowed.
I've looked in the error logs on the faulting GeForce machine and there is an error each time it stalls -
Faulting application name Fusion.exe, version 17.4.023
Faulting module name Qt5Gui.dll, version 5.15.2.0
There is no error on the quadro machine and again 17.4 runs fine.
I'm at a loss as to how to get any further - anyone have any ideas?
many thanks in advance
