How do you copy & paste a Polyline stroke

PostTue Nov 16, 2021 3:19 pm

I'm trying to see if this is even possible:

I have to copy and paste a Polyline stroke onto another Polyline stroke, now I'm sure I can do this with two or more Paint nodes, but I'm wondering if I can copy and paste the stroke onto the same Paint node. How would I do this if it is possible?

There's a few options in this area. You can:
- have any many PolylineStrokes in a single Paint as you want, so no need for multiple Paint nodes
- copy the points of a PolylineStroke and then paste that into a new PolylineStroke (on this Paint node, or a different one)
- Connect To -> Publish link two PolylineStrokes, creating a live link, such that changing points of one stroke also changes the other, but other properties like colour, brush size and position can vary.
- export a PolylineStroke then import it, either on the same Paint node or on another Paint node (this is more commonly used for copying polylines between different comps, re-using standard templates)

Here's a demo showing the various options:
Resolve Studio 17.4.3 and Fusion Studio 17.4.3 on macOS 11.6.1
